Emergent Respiratory Products, Inc., Manufacturer of the Non-Invasive
CPAPos™ Oxygen Ventilator System, Receives Quality Manufacturing Systems Certification
(Irvine, CA) Emergent, an Irvine, California based manufacturer of respiratory care products, was recently granted a compliance certificate of registration
(ISO 13485:1996) which certifies the company’s quality manufacturing systems under the Canadian Medical Devices Conformity Assessment System (CMDCAS).
This independent certification validates Emergent’s commitment to
quality manufacturing practices and permits the company to expand its
business beyond US borders into Canada
and Europe, according to Wendy J Tilford, president of CMDCAS.
"Emergent is currently well positioned to expand its business, and this
registration confirms our quality commitment to customers worldwide," Greg
Wood, Emergent President and CEO said in making the announcement.
"With this ISO certification and validation," Wood explained, "Emergent
can now enter
more markets. It gives us the opportunity to ship more products while our
customers feel confident in our quality production and manufacturing
processes," he said.
"Our company goal is to be the number one market leader in the early
intervention and treatment of acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema, a shortness
of breath symptom associated
with congestive heart failure," Wood confirmed. "This ISO certification is a
positive step forward in achieving this goal."
